When we first arrived in the Netherlands we dropped off our stuff at the hotel and then headed to Amsterdam. The second day we were there we explored Haarlem. If I were to redo it, I would have stayed in Haarlem the first day and done some of the things that closed the next day - such as the Corrie ten Boom museum. I also would have purchased Van Gogh Museum tickets the moment we arrived so we could attend the next day.

When biking around Haarlem I would have explored even further. I think because we were getting oriented I was being cautious but in retrospect I would not hold back and just explore!
